Sule Lamido University FCIT Launches Two-Day Postgraduate Research Workshop

The Faculty of Computing and Information Technology (FCIT) at Sule Lamido University, Kafin Hausa (SLUK), commenced a specialized two-day in-house workshop on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.

The workshop, titled "Navigating the Research Lifecycle: From Finding Research Gap to Publication and Proposal Writing in Computing Research," is designed to enhance the academic capabilities of faculty members and postgraduate students.

The intensive training session targets PhD, Masters, and Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) students, alongside academic staff specializing in computing-related research. The curriculum covers the essential stages of the academic journey, focusing on identifying critical research gaps, mastering technical proposal writing, and navigating the complexities of high-impact journal publication.

This initiative reflects the Faculty’s commitment to fostering a robust research culture and ensuring that Sule Lamido University remains at the forefront of technological innovation and scholarly excellence in Nigeria.

The workshop concludes tomorrow, following a series of practical sessions aimed at equipping participants with the tools necessary for global competitiveness in computing research.
