Taraba State University (TASU) has recorded a significant academic achievement following the approval of 24 new undergraduate programmes by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

Taraba State University (TASU) has recorded a significant academic achievement following the approval of 24 new undergraduate programmes by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

The newly approved programmes will commence from the 2026/2027 academic session.

The approval was secured under the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sunday Paul Bako, and the university's management team after the successful completion of the NUC's resource verification exercise.

According to the Commission's approval letter, all 24 programmes will be offered on a full-time basis at the university's main campus in Jalingo.

The newly approved programmes are:

  4. B.A. Religious Studies

  5. B.A. African Traditional Religion

  6. B.A. Classics
