UDUS Releases First Batch of Qualified Candidates for 2025/2026 Amnesty Programme

 The Management of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS), through the Directorate of Academic Affairs, has officially released the first batch of candidates qualified for the 2025/2026 Amnesty Programme.

The announcement, contained in an internal memorandum dated January 29, 2026, follows a rigorous screening process conducted by various departments and faculties in collaboration with the university's ICT unit.

The university has outlined specific criteria for students seeking to benefit from this academic lifeline. According to the Directorate, the programme is exclusively available to:

Timeline: Students enrolled between the 2011/2012 and 2024/2025 academic sessions.

Academic Load: The number of credit units allowed for any candidate must not exceed the equivalent of one full academic session.

Final Year Support: Students who have completed their final year but have outstanding courses (not exceeding one session's worth of credits) are eligible to participate.

The university management clarified that the amnesty is intended for students facing specific academic delays and does not apply to everyone. Specifically, students who were expelled or officially withdrawn from the university for disciplinary or other reasons are not qualified to participate in the programme.

The release of the first batch marks a significant step in the university's efforts to help long-standing students finalize their degrees and clear outstanding academic requirements.
