UniAbuja VC, Prof. Fawehinmi, Initiates Consultative Meetings to Reposition Institution for Excellence

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Professor Hakeem Babatunde Fawehinmi, has started a series of consultative meetings with key organs of the University, including staff unions, student leaders, and members of the Committee of Deans and Directors, as part of his commitment to inclusive and productive leadership.

Professor  Fawehinmi said his doors are open, stressing that staff and student welfare, peace on campus, and collaborative dialogue remain central to his administration. He called on all unions to work together with management to help lift the institution to greater heights. 

Addressing the Students’ Union Government, the vice-chancellor assured students that issues affecting their welfare, such as transportation, accommodation and student facilities, are being reviewed in all fairness.

Professor Fawehinmi urged the University community to embrace unity, responsibility and professionalism, noting that collective effort will contribute well towards  repositioning the University for excellence.

Staff expressed hope and appreciation in the vice-chancellor’s vision for the University,  pledging their support and willingness to work towards the development of the institution.
