The University of Calabar (UNICAL) admission list for the 2026/2027 academic session has been released.
Candidates who participated in the 2026/2027 admission screening exercise can now proceed to check whether their names are on the provisional admission list of successful candidates.
The list of admitted candidates has been uploaded online through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS). Candidates are to follow the procedure below to check their admission status.
How to Check UNICAL Admission Status on JAMB CAPS

Visit https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/ and log in with your registered email address and password to access your dashboard.

Click on “Check Admission Status.”

Click on “Access my CAPS.”

Click on “Admission Status” to see whether you have been offered admission.
Candidates who have been offered admission will receive a response displaying their photo image alongside a message congratulating them on their admission offer.
Candidates who have not been offered admission yet will receive the response: “Sorry No Admission has been Given Yet.”
How to Accept or Reject UNICAL Admission
Candidates who have been offered admission can proceed to either accept or reject the admission by sending “ACCEPT” or “REJECT” as an SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the specific phone number linked to their JAMB profile.
Candidates have four weeks to accept the offer of admission.
Candidates who do not have access to their registered phone numbers are advised to visit a JAMB-accredited centre to accept or reject the admission offer.
Print JAMB Admission Letter After Acceptance
Candidates who have been offered admission are advised to print their admission letter after accepting the admission.
The admission letter will likely be required during the clearance and registration process at the school where the candidate has been admitted.
How to Check JAMB CAPS Admission Status on a Phone
Candidates using a mobile phone may not see the option to check their Admission Status on JAMB CAPS. Most phone users may only see the welcome message instead.
Candidates using a phone are advised to switch their browser to desktop mode to view the complete JAMB CAPS page.
Google Chrome is recommended for candidates checking their admission status on a mobile phone. To access the complete page, open the Chrome browser, go to the Chrome options and select “Request desktop site.”
The complete JAMB CAPS page should then be displayed, allowing candidates to access the Admission Status option and check whether they have been offered admission.
