The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT ) has formally inducted 17 new dental surgeons into the medical profession.
The ceremony was conducted by the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), Prof. Fatima Kyari, who was represented by Dr. Mandaka Tijani.
In his address, Dr. Tijani reminded the inductees of the weight of responsibility their new status carries, charging them to uphold the highest standards of ethics, professionalism, and service to humanity.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Owunari Abraham Georgewill, congratulated the fresh graduates and encouraged them to be worthy ambassadors of the institution. He further called on them to contribute actively towards the advancement of oral health care in Nigeria and beyond.
