The elections were conducted during the 488th Extraordinary Meeting of Senate held earlier today.
Professor Chukwudi Onyeasor emerged as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), taking over from his predecessor whose tenure had come to an end.

In a similar development, Professor Rosemary Ogu was elected Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), bringing with her a wealth of academic and administrative expertise.
Professor Angela Frank-Briggs was also elected as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Development), completing the trio of new appointments.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Owunari Abraham Georgewill, congratulated the newly elected Deputy Vice-Chancellors and expressed his confidence in their ability to support the university's mission of academic excellence, innovation, and institutional growth.
