UNIPORT Withdraws Suspension Order on Non-Academic Student Activities
The management of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has withdrawn its earlier memorandum suspending all non-academic related student activities across the institution.

The withdrawal was contained in a press release issued by the University’s Information, Protocol and Public Relations Unit, following the circulation of the memorandum dated July 20, 2026, titled “Suspension of All Non-Academic-Related Student Activities.”
According to the statement, the earlier memorandum has been withdrawn with immediate effect and should be disregarded by members of the university community.

The management clarified that all approved academic and non-academic activities within Faculties, Departments, Centres, Institutes, and other units of the University will continue as scheduled.
The University expressed regret over any inconvenience the earlier communication may have caused students, staff, and other stakeholders.
