University of Abuja mourns the passing of former Acting Registrar, Mrs. Roseline Adakayi
The University of Abuja community is in mourning following the announcement of the passing of its immediate past Acting Registrar, Mrs. Roseline Adakayi.
Mrs. Adakayi passed away in Abuja today, January 10, 2026, following a brief illness. A seasoned administrator, she dedicated years of service to the institution in various capacities before being appointed as the Acting Registrar in May 2025. She served in that leadership role for six months, contributing significantly to the administrative stability of the university.
The university management, led by the Vice-Chancellor, expressed deep sadness over the loss, noting that her contributions to the growth and governance of the institution will be long remembered. Her colleagues and staff members described her as a committed professional who approached her duties with diligence and grace.
