Dr. Sawyerr-George brings over 25 years of professional experience in library science, making her a seasoned expert in her field. She holds a Diploma in Library Science, a Bachelor of Arts in Library Science, and a Doctorate in Library and Information Science, all earned from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).

Before her appointment at UAT, Dr. Sawyerr-George held key positions in renowned institutions, including Bayelsa State College of Arts and Science, Bayelsa State College of Education, and Bayelsa State Polytechnic. Her extensive experience and proven leadership skills have significantly contributed to the advancement of library services across these institutions.

In addition to her professional achievements, Dr. Sawyerr-George is a prolific researcher and author with numerous publications in academic journals. Her commitment to knowledge dissemination and academic excellence aligns with UAT’s vision of fostering innovation and intellectual growth.
