University of Maiduguri Shines at 27th NUGA Games

The University of Maiduguri has continued its outstanding performance at the 27th Nigerian University Games (NUGA) in Jos, Plateau State, with notable wins in various events.

In handball, the university's male team defeated Justum University 16-15, while the Judo team secured a gold medal through Promise Ojikpe's win in the -63 kg category and a bronze medal from Hauwa Ishaku in the +78 kg heavyweight division.

The basketball team advanced to the quarterfinals, and the tennis team qualified for the quarterfinals in the men's doubles event. The Taekwondo and Judo teams also added medals to the university's tally, showcasing the institution's excellence and team spirit across all events.
