University of Maiduguri Vice-Chancellor Praises ASUU Chairperson for Renovation Efforts

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri, Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele, has commended the remarkable efforts of the university's ASUU Chairperson, Dr. Abubakar Saidu, for spearheading the renovation of the ASUU Secretariat. The secretariat now boasts modern facilities comparable to those of top universities in Nigeria.

During an inspection visit on September 22, 2025, Professor Mele, accompanied by other principal officers, acknowledged Dr. Saidu's leadership in renovating the secretariat. The vice-chancellor praised the ASUU chairperson for providing free internet services to members and encouraged them to sustain their good work.

Professor Mele assured the ASUU leadership that the administration would consider their requests and wished them success in hosting the forthcoming visit of the National ASUU Chairperson.
