UNIZIK Vice-Chancellor Prof. Bond Anyaehie Hosts FRSC Sector Commander, Pledges Collaboration

The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Prof. Bond Ugochukwu Anyaehie, received Commander Bridget Asekhaun, Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), RSS 3, Anambra State, during a courtesy visit to his office.

The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Prof. Bond Ugochukwu Anyaehie, received Commander Bridget Asekhaun, Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), RSS 3, Anambra State, during a courtesy visit to his office.

Commander Asekhaun, accompanied by her team, including Jude Nuamai (Head of Operations) and I.C. Ezaka (Head of Special Duties), outlined the Corps’ core responsibilities, such as issuance of drivers’ licences, road-safety management, and public safety programmes. Her personal assistant, Ifeanyi Eke, highlighted her distinguished administrative service and leadership.

Prof. Anyaehie commended the Commander’s credentials and expressed enthusiasm for a strengthened partnership. He emphasized that UNIZIK, currently ranked the fifth-most sought-after university in Nigeria, trains numerous FRSC personnel through certificate programmes and invited the Corps to leverage the university’s e-learning platform for broader training initiatives. The Vice-Chancellor assured continued institutional support to FRSC activities.

The meeting concluded with the presentation of a pack of FRSC informational flyers to Prof. Anyaehie, marking a symbolic step toward closer collaboration between the university and the Corps.
