UNN Moves to Revamp Stadium After 20 Years of Neglect

University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) is set to renovate its stadium after 20 years, in a move aimed at improving sports facilities for students and athletes.

The planned renovation is part of efforts by the university management to improve sporting infrastructure and create a more conducive environment for students and athletes to train and compete.

The stadium, which has served as a major sporting facility for the university community for decades, has reportedly suffered from years of inadequate maintenance, prompting calls for its rehabilitation.

This proposed renovation is expected to cover key areas of the facility and bring the stadium up to modern standards, development is also expected to boost sporting activities at UNN and provide students with improved facilities for football, athletics and other sporting events.

The university community is hopeful that the renovation will be completed on schedule and restore the stadium to its former Glory move comes as universities across Nigeria continue to invest in sports infrastructure to promote students' participation in competitive sports and support the development of young athletes.
