Yakubu Gowon University (UNIABUJA) Issues Important Notice on 2026 Clearance Forms for Graduating Students
The Student Affairs Division of Yakubu Gowon University (formerly University of Abuja) has released an official internal memorandum regarding the mandatory clearance process for the 2026 graduating class.
In a memo dated February 13, 2026, the Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Simon Malang Kawe, informed all regular graduating students that they must print their new 2026 Clearance Forms exclusively from the official Student Affairs Division update platform.
Official Source Only: All graduates are required to obtain their forms through the university's dedicated clearance platform. Forms obtained from any third-party or alternative sources will be summarily rejected.
Zero Cost: The university management emphasized that the 2026 clearance forms are free of charge and not for sale.
Validity of Prior Submissions: Students who have already submitted clearance forms prior to this notice are assured that their submissions remain valid. The new requirement applies specifically to those yet to initiate or complete the process.
This directive follows the recent renaming of the institution to Yakubu Gowon University in honor of Nigeria's former Head of State. Professor Simon Malang Kawe, who signed the memo, is a distinguished academic from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine currently serving as the Acting Dean.
The University Management urges all affected students to be guided accordingly to ensure a seamless graduation process.
