Zamfara NYSC Coordinator Inspects Facilities at Temporary Camp, Praises State Government

The NYSC Zamfara State Coordinator, Mal. Mohammed Lawan Ahmed, recently conducted a thorough inspection of the facilities at the Government Science Secondary School, Gada-Biyu, Gusau, which is currently serving as the NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp.

The NYSC Zamfara State Coordinator, Mal. Mohammed Lawan Ahmed, recently conducted a thorough inspection of the facilities at the Government Science Secondary School, Gada-Biyu, Gusau, which is currently serving as the NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp. The visit highlighted the ongoing efforts to improve the infrastructure for corps members.

During the inspection, Mal. Lawan Ahmed toured key areas of the camp, including the male and female hostels, staff quarters, and the parade ground. He observed the ongoing renovations and the installation of new amenities aimed at enhancing the camp’s functionality and comfort. Notably, the state government is also installing solar street lights to improve visibility on the school premises at night, which is part of a broader renovation initiative.

In his remarks following the inspection, Mal. Lawan Ahmed expressed his satisfaction with the current state of the facilities. He praised the Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Dr. Dauda Lawal, for his commitment to upgrading both the Permanent and Temporary Orientation Camps. The Coordinator acknowledged the significant improvements made under Governor Lawal’s administration, noting that these upgrades reflect the state’s support for the NYSC scheme.

Mal. Lawan Ahmed urged the serving corps members to reciprocate the government's investment in their welfare by dedicating themselves to the development of the state. He encouraged them to contribute selflessly and positively impact their host communities.

The inspection was conducted in the company of key management staff, who accompanied Mal. Lawan Ahmed throughout the visit.
