ADSU Celebrates JETS Champions Ahead of National Competition
The Vice Chancellor of Adamawa State University, Mubi, Professor Augustine Clement, on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, received staff and students of the University’s Demonstration Primary and Secondary School to celebrate their selection to represent Adamawa State at the forthcoming National Junior Engineers, Technicians and Scientists, JETS, Competition in Abuja.
The students earned the honor after excelling at the 2026 Adamawa State JETS Competition organized by the Adamawa State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, Department of Science, Technology and Innovation, in Yola. Their victory secured Adamawa State University’s place as the institution representing Adamawa State at the national level, a milestone that underscores the University’s commitment to nurturing excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, STEM.
During the celebration, Mr. Barka Phibiga Gamari, who coordinated the students, together with school leadership and parents, expressed appreciation to the Vice Chancellor and University Management for their support in promoting academic excellence, innovation, and extracurricular development. They noted that the University’s encouragement has been instrumental in motivating the students to pursue excellence and innovation.

In recognition of their achievement, Professor Augustine Clement commended the staff for their dedication and the students for their discipline and focus, and presented a financial reward to the winners. The gesture was aimed at motivating them further and reinforcing the University’s belief in rewarding hard work.
The Vice Chancellor assured the students of the University’s full support as they prepare for the national competition. He urged them to remain focused, disciplined, and confident, emphasizing that the competition is not only a test of knowledge and skills but also an opportunity to showcase the quality of education and training they have received at Adamawa State University.
