ADSU VC Unveils Plan to Transform Demonstration Schools, Commends Governor Fintiri’s Support

The Vice-Chancellor of Adamawa State University, Prof. Augustine Clement, has launched an initiative to elevate the university’s Demonstration Primary and Secondary Schools into centres of excellence in infrastructure and academic standards.

As part of the initiative, Prof. Clement spearheaded a comprehensive renovation of the schools, equipping them with modern classrooms, fully equipped science laboratories, ICT centres and well-stocked libraries to create a conducive environment for learning, innovation and holistic development.

Beyond infrastructure, the Vice-Chancellor said the plan prioritises academic excellence through strengthened teacher training, introduction of innovative teaching methodologies and expansion of extracurricular programmes to ensure well-rounded education.

Prof. Clement expressed appreciation to the Visitor to the University and Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for his support, noting that the Governor’s commitment to education has been instrumental to the success of the vision.

“We are grateful to His Excellency for his steadfast support. His leadership continues to inspire our efforts to make Adamawa State University’s Demonstration Schools the benchmark of academic and infrastructural excellence,” he said.

In recognition of the initiative, the Principal of the Demonstration Secondary School, Mr. Julius Fidelis, and the Headmaster of the Demonstration Primary School, Mr. Adams Joshep, commended the Vice-Chancellor for his foresight and dedication, noting that the transformation has begun to inspire staff and students.

The university management encouraged parents and guardians in Mubi and beyond to patronise the Demonstration Schools for their world-class facilities, quality teaching and environment tailored to nurture future leaders.

The initiative, according to the university, reflects its commitment to building strong educational foundations and advancing knowledge, innovation and socio-economic development, with the Demonstration Schools serving as a vital link between foundational education and higher learning.
