Ahmadu Bello University Commences Second Semester Lectures for 2025/2026 Session

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has officially commenced academic activities for the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic session.

The directive was issued through an official university Special Bulletin (Volume 18, No. 45) published by the Public Affairs Directorate on behalf of the university management.

Mandatory Monitoring and Lecture CommencementIn strict alignment with the university’s approved academic calendar, all undergraduate and postgraduate lectures across all faculties began on Monday, 1 June 2026.

To ensure full compliance and academic productivity, the university management has directed all Deans of Faculty to:Guarantee that scheduled lectures commence immediately without delay.Actively monitor the daily progress of all ongoing academic activities within their respective departments.Add/Drop Course Registration Window AnnouncedThe bulletin also outlined key regulatory timelines for students wishing to modify their academic profiles for the semester.

Management has designated a strict window for students to adjust their selected modules.Add/Drop Window: Monday, 22 June to Saturday, 4 July 2026.

Administrative Advisory: Students are strongly required to utilize this specific two-week period to amend their course registrations where necessary. The university explicitly warned that no requests for the reopening of the registration portal will be entertained after the deadline has elapsed.
