Ajayi Crowther University (ACU), Oyo, has commenced a mandatory basic medical screening exercise for members of staff as part of efforts to promote their health and well-being.
The exercise began on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, with the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ebunoluwa Oduwole, and other Principal Officers participating in the screening.
The medical exercise covers all Principal Officers, Deans, Heads of Departments and other members of staff. It is aimed at assessing the health status of staff and ensuring that members of the university community are medically fit and in sound health.
The participation of the Vice-Chancellor and other Principal Officers at the commencement of the exercise highlights the importance the university places on the health and welfare of its employees.
The initiative is also part of the university's efforts to ensure that its staff remain healthy and physically fit to effectively carry out their responsibilities.
Other members of staff are expected to participate in the mandatory medical screening from Wednesday, September 2, 2026, as the exercise continues across the university.
The exercise further reflects the commitment of the Vice-Chancellor's administration to fostering a healthy and productive working environment in which the welfare of staff is given due priority.
