AKCILS Ag. Provost Charges New Security Personnel on Dedication and Ethical Conduct

The Acting Provost of Aminu Kano College of Islamic and Legal Studies (AKCILS), Dr. Ali Tamasi Mu'az, has charged newly deployed corporate security personnel to work diligently and professionally to ensure safety and security in the College.

Dr. Mu'az gave the charge while receiving seven newly deployed security personnel. He commended the Security Directorate for maintaining vigilance in securing the College premises.

He noted that the College has maintained a cordial working relationship with the corporate security directorate for more than a decade, describing the collaboration with the College's Security Directorate as vital in maintaining a safe and secure environment.

The Acting Provost commended corporate security personnel for their diligence, hard work and honesty, recognising dedicated officers including Bashir Alasan, Mustapha Ya'u and Zahrau for their commitment to duty.

He directed the College Registrar to include the newly deployed personnel in the College's usual monthly allowance for corporate security officers, while assuring them that management would review their allowances soon.

Dr. Tamasi also encouraged the personnel to pursue further education and donated five complimentary admission forms to corporate security officers willing to advance their studies. He further assured five interested personnel of scholarship support to enable them to pursue their education.

The Acting Provost directed the Security Directorate to sensitise the newly deployed personnel on their responsibilities and familiarise them with the College environment and operational procedures.

Earlier, the Director of Security, Malam Farouk Muhammad, informed the Acting Provost that seven new corporate security personnel had been deployed to the College following the recent engagement of neighbourhood security personnel.

He assured management that the Security Directorate would work closely with the newly deployed personnel to strengthen security across the College.

Malam Farouk commended the leadership of Dr. Ali Tamasi Mu'az for efforts towards restoring the College's glory and image among tertiary institutions in the state. He also appreciated the Acting Provost for providing logistics and other necessary security equipment to support effective operations.

In her remarks, the College Registrar called for greater synergy among all security personnel operating within the College.

She commended the Acting Provost for his efforts towards ensuring a safe and secure academic environment, while urging the newly deployed personnel to discharge their duties with honesty, dedication and strict adherence to the rules and regulations of the College.
