According to a statement signed by the Registrar and Secretary to Senate, Dr. Ebi G. Eno-Ibanga, FNIM, the ceremony is scheduled to hold on Friday, 24 April 2026 at the university’s Main Campus, Ikot Akpaden.
The Vice-Chancellor and Chairman of Senate, Prof. Otoabasi E. Akpan, extended the invitation to staff and students across the university community.

The event will take place at the university sports ground by 12 noon, with all guests expected to be seated by 11:30 a.m.
The matriculation ceremony marks the formal admission of new students into the institution and is expected to bring together members of the university community in what has become a key academic tradition.
The university urged full participation, describing the ceremony as an important milestone in the academic journey of the incoming students.
