The Management of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, Ikot Ekpene, has announced the enrolment of all students into the Akwa Ibom State Health Insurance Scheme (AKSHIS).
The exercise follows a sensitization session conducted by the Akwa Ibom State Health Insurance Agency (AKSHIA) on Monday, 19th January 2026.
The enrolment will take place at the Polytechnic Library Conference Hall as per the following schedule:

Day 1 – Tuesday, 27th January 2026
Schools of Applied Sciences & Engineering Technology | 12:30 PM – 4:00 PM -
Day 2 – Wednesday, 28th January 2026
Schools of Communication Arts & Environmental Studies | 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM -
Day 3 – Thursday, 29th January 2026
School of Business & Management (Spill Over) | 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Students are required to pay a non-refundable enrolment fee of ₦12,000.
Management has declared each enrolment day as lecture/test/examination-free for the students of the respective schools to ensure full participation.
This circular supersedes the previous notice issued on 21st January 2026. Students are encouraged to comply fully and make use of this opportunity to secure their health coverage.
