Al-Hikmah University ASDAC Welcomes Freshers with "Climbing the Steps" Orientation Program

Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Students Da'wah committee, ASDAC, on Saturday 10th January, 2026, organized an orientation program, themed “Climbing the Steps,” for Freshers.

The well-structured two-day program aimed at properly welcoming and guiding newly admitted students into academic, personal, and spiritual life within the University.

The program began on Friday, June 9th, 2025, with the Prof. Lateef Oladimeji Inter-Faculty Qur’an Competition, which brought together students from different faculties to display excellence in Qur’anic recitation and memorisation. Certificates were presented to all participants, while outstanding performances were recognised with awards during the Grand Finale of the orientation.

The orientation activities continued on Saturday, June 10th, with the Grand Finale held at the Main Campus Auditorium, where freshers were formally received and engaged in a series of enriching sessions.

At the opening ceremony, the university Bursar, Mr. Hafis Omoniyi, FCA, warmly received the new students and emphasized the University’s commitment to academic excellence, discipline, and moral values.

This was followed by an insightful lecture titled “Balancing Academics and Personal Growth” delivered by, Dr. Ismail Abdulraheem, Lecturer at Muhammad Kamaludeen University, Ilorin (MKU). The lecture provided practical guidance on maintaining academic excellence while developing personal values and life skills.
