Al-Hikmah University’s CPSS Hosts 4th Peace and Conflict Management Capacity Building Retreat

The Centre for Peace and Security Studies (CPSS) at Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, has successfully concluded its 4th Peace and Conflict Management Capacity Building Retreat.

The strategic session was designed to enhance the professional capacity of security stakeholders and peace practitioners in navigating the complexities of modern governance and security. Key focus areas included:

Effective Governance: Strategies for strengthening security architecture at local and national levels.

Conflict Resolution: Advanced techniques in mediation and social cohesion.

Capacity Building: Empowering participants with practical tools for sustainable peace and security governance. 

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Noah Yusuf, reaffirmed the university’s commitment to providing intellectual leadership in peacebuilding, noting that the retreat serves as a vital platform for policy dialogue and professional development in Nigeria’s security sector.
