The institution stated that the rustication will take effect from the 2025/2026 academic session. During the punishment period, the affected students will not be permitted to participate in any internal or external examinations.

The university further directed that some students would not have their courses upgraded, while the result of one student would remain uncomputed until the rustication period is completed. Meanwhile, one of the exonerated students was reportedly warned by the university, which also ordered that his mobile phone be returned to him. The management said the notice serves as official information to the affected students, their parents and sponsors, relevant university authorities, and the general public.
