Bayelsa Medical University (BMU) on September 19, 2025, held its official induction programme for newly employed staff, introducing them to the institution’s mission, values, and development agenda.

In his address, the Vice Chancellor outlined the Aspire Agenda, a strategic framework built on six pillars: Academic Excellence, Sustainability, Partnership and Engagement, Innovation and Technology, Research Excellence, and Empowerment and Welfare. He described the agenda as a roadmap designed to position BMU as a globally competitive institution of innovation and excellence.

The Registrar urged the inductees to uphold diligence, honesty, and integrity in carrying out their duties, while Dr. Guagha Mickey Berezi, Director of the Entrepreneurship Development Centre, led a session on the university’s vision, mission, and core values. He also highlighted staff responsibilities, expectations, benefits, and the importance of sustaining the institutional culture.
