Bayelsa Medical University Launches Strategic Plan Drafting Committee

The Bayelsa Medical University (BMU) has officially kicked off a new phase in its institutional development with the inauguration of its Strategic Plan Drafting Committee on Monday, 12th January 2026.

This marks the formal commencement of the University’s 5-Year Strategic Plan development process.

The 7-member committee, chaired by Dr. Guagha Mickey Berezi, was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dimie Ogoina, who tasked members to deliver a comprehensive, forward-looking plan through commitment, teamwork, diligence, and adherence to strict timelines.

• Blessing Ogbara – PR Unit
• Dr. Mrs. Marie Teibowei – SAVC/PRO

Chairman Dr. Berezi expressed gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor for the confidence placed in the committee and thanked members for accepting the responsibility at this critical stage in BMU’s growth.
