The Bayelsa Medical University (BMU) has officially kicked off a new phase in its institutional development with the inauguration of its Strategic Plan Drafting Committee on Monday, 12th January 2026.

This marks the formal commencement of the University’s 5-Year Strategic Plan development process.

The 7-member committee, chaired by Dr. Guagha Mickey Berezi, was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dimie Ogoina, who tasked members to deliver a comprehensive, forward-looking plan through commitment, teamwork, diligence, and adherence to strict timelines.
