Bayero University Kano Launches Eco-Friendly E-Tricycles for Campus Transportation

Bayero University Kano (BUK) has introduced electric tricycles (e-tricycles) to enhance transportation within its campuses, marking a significant step toward sustainable mobility.

The initiative, operating under the national "Renewed Hope Agenda," is designed to offer a safer, more convenient, and environmentally friendly mode of movement for both students and staff.

BUK has commissioned a fleet of 30 new tricycles: 20 fully electric units and 10 solar-powered tricycles. The initiative was officially launched by the Minister of State for Education, Professor Suwalba Sa'id Ahmad.
