Borno State University Students Receive Transportation Boost from Commissioner
In a heartening display of support for education and student welfare, Honorable Sa'ina Buba, Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Poverty Alleviation in Borno State, has donated two buses to Borno State University (BOSU) students. This generous gesture aims to alleviate the transportation challenges faced by students.
The Commissioner's decision was inspired by his personal experience witnessing students trekking long distances to access transportation. Emphasizing the buses' exclusive purpose for student transportation, Honorable Buba urged the university management to maintain the vehicles and repair the university's own free shuttle buses to complement the donated ones.
"We must ensure these buses ease students' hardships," Commissioner Buba stressed.
Sheriff Taibu Benisheik, Representative of the Registrar and Director of Human Resources at BOSU, expressed gratitude to Commissioner Sa'ina Buba for the donation. He assured that the vehicles would be well-maintained and judiciously utilized for the benefit of both students and staff.
"This donation demonstrates the Commissioner's commitment to supporting education and student welfare in Borno State," Benisheik noted.
This donation is a significant boost to BOSU's efforts to provide a conducive learning environment for its students. With the university's focus on academic excellence and community engagement, this support from the Commissioner will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the students' overall educational experience.
