College Of Education Nguru Announces Full Scholarship for 20 Individuals with Special Needs

In a significant move towards promoting inclusive education, the Provost of a local college has announced a full scholarship for 20 individuals with special needs, covering their diploma program studies until graduation. This initiative was revealed during a courtesy visit by the leadership of People with Special Needs Nguru Chapter.

The Provost emphasized the institution's commitment to empowering vulnerable groups through education, highlighting the importance of creating opportunities for individuals with special needs. The leadership of People with Special Needs Nguru Chapter expressed gratitude for the college's support and pledged to collaborate on programs that enhance educational accessibility, ultimately contributing to the development of Nguru, Yobe State, and surrounding communities.

This scholarship will be coordinated by the Centre for Gender Studies and Girl Child Education and the Centre for Humanitarian and Community Development Services, two of the six newly established centers at the college.
