COOU Safety Unit Seeks Orumba North Council’s Support for Road Traffic Victims’ Remembrance Programme
The Student Accident, Emergency and Safety Unit of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Igbariam Campus, has engaged the leadership of Orumba North Local Government Area ahead of a planned programme to commemorate World Remembrance Day for Road Traffic Victims.

The Head of the Unit, accompanied by its Secretary, Mr. Ifeanyi Emesiani, paid a courtesy visit to the Mayor of Orumba North Local Government Area, Hon. Capt. Barr. Casmir Chukwunonso Nwafor (Rtd.), where they discussed preparations for the upcoming event.
The planned programme will include a luncheon to commemorate World Remembrance Day for Road Traffic Victims, while also drawing attention to the experiences of people affected by road traffic crashes.
The delegation used the visit to brief the council leadership on the proposed programme and explore areas of collaboration towards its successful hosting.
The meeting was attended by the Head of Service, Orumba North LGA, Mrs. Helen Okoye, and the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Mayor, Mr. Christian Nweke, alongside other local government officials.

The engagement marked an effort by the COOU Safety Unit and the local government authorities to strengthen cooperation ahead of the remembrance programme.
