The Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) has successfully concluded its three-day Professional Accreditation Exercise for programmes in the Faculty of Engineering at Rivers State University.

The exercise, which ended on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, was aimed at ensuring that the university’s engineering programmes meet the standards required for professional practice in the country.

During the Exit Visit, the Vice-Chancellor of Rivers State University, Prof. Isaac Zeb-Obipi, welcomed the Accreditation Team and commended COREN for its thorough evaluation. He emphasized the university’s commitment to sustaining quality education that prepares graduates with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the engineering profession.

The accreditation exercise marks another step in the faculty’s ongoing effort to align with global best practices and strengthen its academic standing.
