DVC Applauds NOUN Trade Fair Advocacy Initiative

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Professor Shehu Usman Adamu, has commended the Directorate of Media and Publicity (DMP) for its participation in the ongoing 21st Abuja International Trade Fair, describing the initiative as a strategic platform for enhancing the University’s visibility and expanding public awareness of its programmes and services.

Professor Adamu gave the commendation on Wednesday when he visited the NOUN booth at the trade fair on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Uduma Oji Uduma.

He was received by the Acting Director of Media and Publicity, Mrs. Omotola Ojudu, alongside the Head of New Media, Mr. Ambrose Gowong, and other senior members of staff of the Directorate.

Interacting with staff of the Directorate, the DVC expressed satisfaction with the level of engagement and advocacy being undertaken to showcase the University’s achievements and opportunities to prospective students and other stakeholders.

He noted that such public engagements remain vital to correcting misconceptions about Open and Distance Learning and positioning NOUN as a leading institution for accessible and quality education in Nigeria.
