EKSU Alumni Ekiti Chapter Holds Health Walk, Announces Monthly Fitness Programme from 2026

The Ekiti State University (EKSU) Alumni Association, Ekiti Chapter, on Saturday held its Health Walk Exercise as part of activities lined up for its 2025 End-of-Year Programme, reinforcing its focus on member welfare, physical fitness, and social cohesion.

The Ekiti State University (EKSU) Alumni Association, Ekiti Chapter, on Saturday held its Health Walk Exercise as part of activities lined up for its 2025 End-of-Year Programme, reinforcing its focus on member welfare, physical fitness, and social cohesion.

The exercise, which marked the second event in the chapter’s end-of-year schedule, attracted a large turnout of members and stakeholders, highlighting growing participation and cohesion within the association.

Prominent alumni and dignitaries present at the event included Asiwaju Oludotun Adetunberu, PhD; Comrade Temidayo Azeez Aguda, Chairman of the Joint Action Committee (JAC III), EKSU; Comrade Olumide Akinyemi (Omega); and several other notable alumni.

The Health Walk was led by the Chapter Chairman, Pastor Adetunji Aribasoye, whose active participation underscored the chapter’s emphasis on inclusive leadership, member engagement, and wellness-driven initiatives.

Activities during the programme included a structured fitness walk and general keep-fit exercises aimed at improving physical agility and cardiovascular health. Participants were later hosted to light meals, assorted roasted delicacies, and refreshments.

Welfare and logistics for the event were coordinated by the Chairman of the General Purpose Committee, Hon. Segun Famuyibo, who ensured smooth organisation and adequate catering throughout the exercise.

At the conclusion of the programme, Pastor Aribasoye announced that the keep-fit exercise would become a monthly activity from 2026, with facilitation to be rotated among chapter leaders. He also reminded members of the grand finale of the 2025 End-of-Year Programme scheduled for Sunday, December 21, 2025, at G-Bos Hotel, Ado-Ekiti, by 3:00 p.m.

The finale will feature a lecture titled “Translating Academic Discipline into Practical, Productive, and Economically Viable Ventures,” to be delivered by Barrister (Dr.) Tosin Ayo.

Members of the association were urged to attend in large numbers to ensure a successful conclusion to the chapter’s end-of-year activities.
