Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti, has extended the deadline for its 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening registration to Thursday, October 31, 2025, allowing more eligible candidates to complete their applications.

Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti, has extended the deadline for its 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening registration to Thursday, October 31, 2025, allowing more eligible candidates to complete their applications.

According to the University Management, the extension ensures that no qualified applicant is left out of the ongoing admission process.

The institution announced that no written examination will be conducted for this year’s exercise. Instead, candidates will be screened based on their academic records and UTME performance.

  • Commencement Date: Wednesday, August 13, 2025
  • Minimum UTME Score: 150 and above
  • Mode of Screening: Online (No written exam)

Candidates who wish to apply but did not initially choose EKSU as their first choice of institution are advised to effect the necessary change on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) before proceeding with registration.

  • Medicine and Surgery — 260
  • Law — 250
  • Doctor of Pharmacy — 240
  • Nursing Science — 230
  • Medical Laboratory Science — 220
  • Mass Communication — 200
  • Engineering — 180
  • Computer Science — 180
  • Medical Biochemistry — 180

Applicants who do not meet these benchmarks may still apply for other available programmes. The University also accepts JUPEB candidates with at least 7 points, but not IJMB.

Application Procedure:

  1. Visit the EKSU admissions portal via https://eksuportal.eksu.edu.ng.
  2. Create an account using an active email address and valid phone number.
  3. Verify the account through the confirmation link sent to the email.
  4. Log in using your JAMB registration number and chosen password.
  5. Select “2025/2026 PUTME Application” and input your JAMB number.
  6. If EKSU is already your first choice, your details will automatically appear; otherwise, enter them manually.
  7. Click “PAY NOW” to pay the screening fee online.
  8. Upload a 1×1 coloured passport photograph with a red background (JPEG format).
  9. Enter your O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) from not more than two sittings.
  10. Review, confirm, submit, and print out the completed screening form.

Eligibility:
Applicants must have at least five credit passes in relevant subjects from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, obtained in no more than two sittings.

For Direct Entry applicants:

  • Engineering candidates must have Upper Credit from a recognized Polytechnic.
  • Other programmes require at least Lower Credit.
  • NCE holders with Credit or Merit in relevant subjects are eligible for Education programmes.
  • DE candidates must also forward their academic transcripts to admissions.registration@eksu.edu.ng on or before October 31, 2025.

All prospective candidates are advised to complete their registration within the stipulated timeframe, as late applications will not be entertained.
