Eminent Sociologist Dejo Abdulrahman Becomes Professor Emeritus

Nigerian Sociologist, Professor Dejo Abdulrahman, has been proclaimed as Professor Emeritus by Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS).

Prof. Abdulrahman was honoured at the varsity’s 42nd convocation ceremony held yesterday.

UDUS honoured Prof. Abdulrahman, a senior lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Fellow of the Social Science Academy of Nigeria (FSSAN), in recognition of his research and teaching accomplishments in the field of Sociology.

Prof. Abdulrahman obtained his BSc in Sociology from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (ABU), and earned his M.A. and PhD from the University of Chicago, USA.

Also a former Dean of Social Sciences at both UDUS and the Federal University of Gusau, Prof. Abdulrahman has over fifty publications to his credit.
