FCE (T) Gombe Economics Department Loses Student, Faruk Hassan

The Federal College of Education (Technical), Gombe, has been thrown into mourning following the sudden passing of Faruk Hassan, a student of the Department of Economics.

In a somber announcement released by the college community, the institution expressed deep regret over the loss, describing it as an "irreplaceable" blow to both his family and academic colleagues.

In accordance with Islamic rites, the funeral prayer (Janaza) for the late Faruk Hassan is scheduled to take place today, February 19, 2026, at 4:00 PM. The ceremony will be held at the Emir’s Palace, Gombe, where family, friends, and members of the college community are expected to gather to pay their final respects. 

Colleagues from the Economics Department have described Faruk as a dedicated student, with many taking to social media to express their shock and offer prayers for his soul. The College management has extended its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, praying that they find the fortitude to bear the significant loss.
