The Federal Government has officially commissioned upgraded laboratory equipment at the University of Port Harcourt through a partnership between the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP) and PZ Cussons.

The Honourable Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji, who was represented by the Director-General of NOTAP, Dr. Obiageli Amadiobi, presided over the commissioning ceremony. Chief Nnaji lauded the collaboration, stressing that the upgraded facilities will enhance research, innovation, and capacity building within the University of Port Harcourt.

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt, Prof. Owunari Abraham Georgewill, represented by the Acting Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Prof. Onyeanunam Ekeke, expressed appreciation to NOTAP and PZ Cussons. He emphasized that the new equipment will significantly strengthen research capacity, improve training, and contribute to the overall advancement of knowledge in the university.
