Federal Government Resolves Technical Glitches; Payment of March 2026 Salaries Commences for University Staff

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Management has confirmed that the technical issues delaying the payment of March 2026 salaries for staff of federal universities nationwide have been successfully resolved.

In a special bulletin released on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, the University announced that it received formal confirmation from the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (OAGF) that the "technical issues militating against the payment" have been cleared.

Following the resolution by the federal government, salary payments for staff across all federal universities have now been effected. This update brings significant relief to thousands of academic and non-academic staff members who had been awaiting their remuneration due to the recent system challenges.

The University Management expressed its sincere appreciation to its workforce for their patience and professional conduct during the delay.

This resolution is expected to restore full administrative and academic momentum across federal campuses as the second quarter of the year begins.
