The Federal University Lokoja (FUL) recently conducted a rigorous internal assessment for PhD students at the Institute of Governance and Development Studies. The assessment, held virtually, featured presentations from seven PhD students who were supervised by Professor Olayemi Akinwumi.

The internal assessment is a crucial step in the PhD program, ensuring that students meet the required standards before proceeding to the final stage of their research. The exercise was attended by senior academics from within and outside the Department of History and International Studies, including Professor Rotimi Ajayi, Director of the Institute of Governance and Development Studies.
