Federal University of Education, Zaria Emphasizes Unity and Workplace Ethics

The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Education, Zaria (FUEZ), Prof. Isa Yahaya Bunkure, has emphasized the importance of unity, workplace ethics, and academic excellence in the institution.

In his first Academic Board and Management Meetings, Prof. Bunkure outlined his vision for the university, stressing the need for collaboration, inclusivity, and transparency in decision-making processes.

Prof. Bunkure expressed gratitude for the warm reception he received since arriving at FUEZ and described himself as a "colleague and partner in progress." He emphasized his readiness to listen to constructive ideas and warned against entertaining hearsay, gossip, or divisive tendencies.

The Vice Chancellor also met with leaders of staff unions, discussing pressing issues such as staff placement, promotion to the rank of professor, welfare matters, and inclusivity in decision-making. The union leaders reaffirmed their support for his administration and pledged their cooperation in ensuring industrial harmony.

Prof. Bunkure admonished members of the university community on good conduct, emphasizing the importance of confidentiality and workplace ethics. He noted that protecting official information and avoiding rumor-mongering would help the university maintain peace, stability, and credibility.
