Federal University of Technology, Minna to Host 116th Inaugural Lecture

The Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUT Minna) will host its 116th inaugural lecture on July 31, 2025.

The lecture, titled "Enhancing the Adoption of Occupational Health and Safety in the Nigerian Construction Industry: Combination of Digital Technologies and Traditional Approach to Safety," will be delivered by Professor Abdullateef Adewale Shittu, a Professor of Quantity Surveying.

The event will take place at the 1000 Seater Capacity Auditorium, Main Campus, Gidan Kwano, starting at 10:00 am. Professor Faruk Adamu Kuta will serve as the chairman of the occasion.

Inaugural lectures are significant events in the academic calendar of FUT Minna, providing newly appointed professors with the opportunity to share their research work and future plans with the university community and the general public.

Professor Abdullateef Adewale Shittu holds a BTech degree from FUT Minna, an MSc degree from Unijos, and a PhD degree from ABU. He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and a Registered Quantity Surveyor.
