Former Delta State Commissioner for Higher Education and Professor of English Literature and Literary Analysis at the University of Lagos, Professor Hope Eghagha, has been announced as the guest lecturer for the 15th Annual Registry Lecture of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA).

Former Delta State Commissioner for Higher Education and Professor of English Literature and Literary Analysis at the University of Lagos, Professor Hope Eghagha, has been announced as the guest lecturer for the 15th Annual Registry Lecture of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA).

According to a statement issued by the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, Isaac Fafila, the lecture is scheduled to hold on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Obafemi Awolowo University Auditorium, FUTA.

The lecture, titled "Quality or Quantity: Rethinking Higher Education Administration in 21st Century Nigeria," will examine contemporary challenges and emerging priorities in the administration of higher education institutions across the country.

The annual FUTA Registry Lecture has grown into one of the notable events in Nigeria's higher education sector, attracting academic and administrative leaders from universities, polytechnics, colleges of education and other tertiary institutions.

Also expected at the event are professional university administrators, leaders of academic communities, key stakeholders in the education sector and members of the general public.

FUTA Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji, will chair the event, while the university's Registrar, Charles Adeleye, will serve as the Chief Host.
