An outstanding graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Kitan has reached a major milestone with his admission into Esade Business School—ranked 8th globally and 5th in Europe.

His path to this international feat was filled with challenges. Kitan spent months carefully preparing applications to some of the world’s top MBA programmes, drafting essays, and seeking mentorship from seasoned professionals across industries. His consistency and commitment paid off as he not only secured a place at Esade but also won scholarships worth over $320,000 from prestigious universities in both the U.S. and Europe.

Kitan’s brilliance had been evident since his undergraduate years at FUTA. In 2013, he, alongside Oladapo Oluwadora Glory and Banjo Mofesola Paul, represented FUTA at the Institute of Software Practitioners of Nigeria (ISPON) national software competition in Calabar, Cross River State. Out of 70 students from universities nationwide, the FUTA trio emerged winners of the prestigious Software Innovation Prize.

That same year, Aboluwarin, leading “Team Eagle Inc.,” alongside Banjo Mofesola and Oladapo Oluwadara, triumphed at the 2nd Annual Software Competition organized by the Federal Ministry of Education in collaboration with Microsoft Nigeria, Huawei, and the British Council. The event, held on November 18, 2013, in Abuja, featured 15 teams from various universities. FUTA’s team took first place with “Enchanter,” an innovative Near Field Communication (NFC) solution that allowed users to instantly exchange virtual business cards via their mobile devices.
