FUE, Zaria VC Explores UK Universities, Advances International Academic Partnership

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Education, FUE, Zaria, Prof. Yahaya Isa Bunkure, on Tuesday commenced a series of academic engagements in the United Kingdom, exploring opportunities for international collaboration and institutional development.

The Vice-Chancellor joined delegates on visits to leading British universities, beginning with Liverpool John Moores University, where they toured the Faculty of Law, the Law Clinic, and the Department of Journalism and Sports Journalism. The visits provided insights into innovative teaching methods, experiential learning and industry-driven academic programmes.

The delegation later visited Manchester Metropolitan University, where they attended a lecture on 3D Design delivered by Mr. Allen. The session highlighted emerging trends and practical applications of three-dimensional design in manufacturing, technology and industrial development.

A key outcome of the engagements was the initiation of discussions on a strategic partnership between the Federal University of Education, Zaria, and Liverpool John Moores University. The proposed collaboration will focus on teaching, research, staff and student exchange programmes, as well as other areas of shared academic interest.

The ongoing conference and academic visits are expected to strengthen international linkages and create new opportunities for academic excellence, innovation and global engagement at the Federal University of Education, Zaria.
