FUGUS Declares Exam-Free Day for Student Elections

The Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) has declared Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, as an examination-free day to enable students to participate in the forthcoming Student Representative Council (SRC) and Student Residents Association (SRA) elections scheduled for the same day.

In a memo signed by the Dean of Students' Affairs, the university rescheduled affected examinations and distributed them across the remaining examination period. Students are advised to check the updated timetable for their new exam dates.

This move aims to encourage student participation in the electoral process, fostering leadership skills and democratic values within the university community. By providing an exam-free day, FUGUS ensures students can exercise their voting rights without academic obligations interfering with their civic engagement.
