FULAFIA VC Kida Urges Participants to Harness Digital Skills

The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, has urged participants at an E-Tech/ICDL Train-the-Trainer Workshop to harness digital skills and technology to improve their capacity and compete in the global space.

Kida gave the charge through the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research and Partnerships, Prof. Ibrahim Ogiri Hassan, at the workshop held at the Adamu Adamu Office and Lecture Complex.

The workshop, themed: "Building a Digitally Skilled Academic Community," attracted participants from Nasarawa, Benue and Plateau states.

The Vice-Chancellor described the training as an avenue for capacity development, urging participants to apply "knowledge you will acquire to support national development."

He emphasised the need for collaboration and networking among participants and institutions, noting that technology remained critical to advancing research, innovation and academic development.

The workshop was organised in partnership with the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), International Certification of Digital Literacy and E-Tech Complete Solutions Limited.
