FUNAAB Students Invited to National AI Essay Competition with ₦400,000 Top Prize

 Students of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) are being called upon to showcase their intellectual prowess in a high-stakes National Essay Competition. Organized by the Brain Builders Youth Development Initiative (BBYDI), the contest offers a grand prize of ₦400,000.

The competition is a core component of the "AI Literacy for Everyday People in Nigeria Project," an initiative aimed at demystifying Artificial Intelligence and encouraging responsible digital citizenship among Nigerian youth.

Thematic Focus and Prizes

According to the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Festus Adeosun, the competition centers on the theme: “Artificial Intelligence for Public Good: Balancing Innovation, Human Welfare, and Responsible Public Governance.”

The rewards for the top three winners include:

First Prize: ₦400,000

Second Prize: ₦300,000

In addition to the cash awards, the top ten finalists will receive full sponsorship to attend the National Grand Finale, scheduled for May 13, 2026.
