FUNAAB to Inaugurate Alumni Farm Hub for Agricultural Advancement

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) will inaugurate its Alumni Farm Hub on March 26, 2025, to enhance agricultural development and alumni engagement. Spearheaded by the FUNAAB Alumni Association, the initiative involves 2,000 acres of farmland, divided into 102 holdings, with a 43.54 km road network for accessibility.

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is set to launch its highly anticipated Alumni Farm Hub on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. This landmark initiative, spearheaded by the FUNAAB Alumni Association, is aimed at driving agricultural development while strengthening alumni engagement.

Under the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, FUNAAB has allocated 2,000 acres of fertile land to the Alumni Association for large-scale agricultural projects. The land has been strategically divided into 102 holdings, each spanning 12.5 acres, and is supported by an extensive 43.54 km road network to facilitate operations and accessibility.

The flag-off ceremony is expected to draw key stakeholders in the agricultural sector, including the National Coordinator of the Presidential Green Money Project for Young Farmers, Hon. Charles Afolayan, former Vice-Chancellors of FUNAAB, past and present Presidents of the Alumni Association, agro-industry leaders, and government officials involved in food security programs.
